How it works
We handle the design, permits, utility paperwork and inspections, so you don't have to.
We look at your bills, roof and electrical panel, and talk through your goals.
You get a system design and clear proposal with equipment, price and estimated savings.
We file the city permits and utility applications for you and track them.
Our licensed crew installs your panels, battery and any electrical upgrades, then cleans up.
We schedule the inspection and meet the inspector, so you don't have to be there.
Once the utility approves, your system switches on and you can watch it work in the app.
Timing depends on your city and utility. We'll give you a realistic schedule with your proposal.
Warranty
Solar is a long-term investment, so we stand behind it for the long term, and handle warranty claims for you.
Our own warranty on the installation work we do, from roof penetrations to wiring.
Manufacturer warranties from brands like Qcells and Enphase cover product and power output.
Battery manufacturers such as Tesla, Enphase and FranklinWH typically warranty their batteries for 10 to 15 years.
Manufacturer warranty terms vary by product and are provided by the manufacturer. We'll list the exact warranties for your equipment in your proposal.
Financing
Choose a solar loan with no money down and start saving from day one, or pay cash for the biggest long-term savings. Either way, you own your system, keep all the savings, and add value to your home.
Approved with GoGreen Home, California's state-backed energy financing program, and Energy Loan Network.

Refer family or friends for solar, battery or roofing. You earn a $500 cash reward and they get $500 off standard pricing.
Incentives in 2026
Solar incentives changed a lot recently. Here's what's true today, so there are no surprises.
The federal tax credit for homeowners who buy their system ended for systems installed after December 31, 2025. Be wary of anyone still promising it for a purchase.
Some companies push leases or PPAs, where they own the panels on your roof and keep a federal credit through 2027. We sell systems you own, paid in cash or with a $0-down loan, so the savings and the added home value are yours.
In California, adding solar doesn't raise your property taxes for systems completed before January 1, 2027.
SCE, PG&E and SDG&E customers now get much less credit for solar power sent back to the grid. A battery lets you store that power and use it in the evening, when electricity costs the most.
LADWP and some city-owned utilities, such as Pasadena and Riverside, have their own rules and rebates. We'll check what applies to your address.
The biggest savings never went away: producing your own power instead of paying rising utility rates, year after year.

Reviews
“They did a great job on my home, new roof with solar panels and battery and everything is great. My house is the only one on my block with the lights on when power outages happen, the neighbors are jealous. [Raffi] also walked me through the tax incentives and rebate process, he was super patient and helpful. I highly recommend.”
“Very clean and quick solar installation. Raffi was fantastic to work with. He provided a detailed description of the installation before we signed the contract and then clearly communicated every step during the process. Work was done on time and very neatly. Additional electrical components are barely noticeable on the wall. Monitoring the system is very straightforward with a clear real time and historic charts of generation vs consumption. We're very happy with the result and will gladly recommend BRE to anyone considering getting solar.”
“We had an excellent experience working with Raffi and Brightstone. We were extremely impressed by the knowledge and professionalism of his company from the beginning, bidding, pricing , planning, installation and completion PTO . They showed up on time and their work exceeded our expectations. I am General Contractor for 45 years and Brightstone is an Awesome company and an Experience we would recommend them anyone in need of a Solar System.”
“Phenomenal service and workmanship. I am glad they adopted me for my solar panels. Highly recommended.”
“Raffi came through!!!! The electrical for my very old house needed some major upgrades. I had to replace the meter from the back room to outside in front. Also, I needed a new panel The price was fair for the job. Once DWP came to my house and did their "meter spot". Raffi was able to knock this out in 3 days. The first day was to "set-up" all the material which took him all day. The Second day the power was cut off while he does his magic - connecting all the wires to the panel and re-doing the line from the Telephone post to my house. The Third day, his crew came and patched up the wall where they upgrade my panel and the same time the inspector came and "cleared" the job. I highly recommend Brightstone Electric for any electrical work that you might need.”
“Very responsible, well organized, informative, and very knowledgeable of the rules of the solar installation.”
“I had an excellent experience working with Raffi. I had an emergency in which power was lost to nearly my entire house and Raffi responded quickly, showed up ahead of schedule, and worked thoroughly to diagnose and fix the problem. He walked me through everything that he was doing and answered more questions than I knew I had. I very highly recommend them.”
“Incredible experience all around. They always respond quickly and do a PERFECT job. Highly recommend.”
“Ed arrived on time, completed the installation within a very reasonable timeframe (less than 5 hours), and their work is warrantied for a year. They worked with our budget to give us a good price and cleaned up the exposed wiring a family friend had done for us before. The installation looks good both inside and outside our garage.”
FAQ
Don't see yours? Call or text us at (818) 863-6250.
Most home installs take 1 to 3 days on site, depending on system size and whether we're adding a battery or upgrading your electrical panel. The whole process, including design, permits, inspection and utility approval, usually takes several weeks, mostly waiting on the city and utility. We handle all of it for you.
Not when installed correctly. We use manufacturer-approved mounts with flashing that seals each attachment point, and our work is covered by our 25-year workmanship warranty. If your roof is near the end of its life, we'll tell you up front and can coordinate a new roof through our roofing partner before installing.
Solar panels alone shut off during an outage. That's a safety rule so power doesn't flow back onto lines utility crews are repairing. With a battery, your home keeps running on stored and solar power, automatically. We can also install standby generators for longer outages.
If you're with SCE, PG&E or SDG&E and go solar now, you're on the Net Billing Tariff, often called NEM 3.0. Power you send back to the grid earns much less credit than the power you buy. That's why most new systems include a battery: you store your extra solar energy and use it in the evening instead of buying expensive utility power. LADWP and some city utilities have different rules, and we'll explain yours.
A system you own typically adds value and appeal to your home, and it transfers with the sale. If your system is leased or on a PPA, the agreement can usually be transferred to the buyer. We're happy to provide system documents for your sale.
Not for homeowners who buy their system. That credit ended for systems installed after December 31, 2025. Leased and PPA systems, where a company owns the panels, can still get a federal credit through 2027, but that credit goes to the company. We sell systems you own, with cash or $0-down loans. See our incentives section above for what's still available.
Yes. We adopt orphaned systems whose installer has gone out of business or stopped responding, and we can add panels or a battery to an existing system.
Yes. We take care of permits, utility interconnection, inspections and permission to operate, and we keep you updated at each step.
It depends on your energy use, roof and equipment. We offer free quotes with a clear, itemized price. $0-down financing is available through GoGreen Home, California's state-backed program, and Energy Loan Network.
